Filmscope UG - Episode 079 - Paul Walusimbi

Paul. S. Walusimbi aka Pollo is a Sound Recordist and Camera Operator, known for the Hostel, N*GEN, Haunted souls, Windows of Hope, Bye Bye Mzungu, The Last Drop, among others.

He has done camera work for features like My turn, Stranger, The last Drop and LUCINDA. Whereas for sound recording, he is behind; Swapped, Three more days, Perfect Symmetry, among others.

In 2009, he trained in sound mixing and recording with Maisha Film lab Kampala where he and other students teamed up to make Imbabazi: The Pardon which made festival rounds  before developing into a feature in 2011.

Walusimbi went on to seek more knowledge from training and master classes from Media Development In Africa(MEDEVA), One Fine day Films, Docu-Box, DSTV sound master classes among others.

His work has also been projected in festivals and documentaries such as; NCDs for the Ministry of health, Artisanal and small scale gold mining in Uganda, and Bayimba Festival of Arts in 2014.

Walusimbi is currently working on Blood Line.
