A 70-year-old woman has given birth to twins following IVF treatment, a hospital in Uganda has said. Safina Namukwaya delivered a boy and a girl via caesarean at a fertility centre in the capital, Kampala. Namukwaya, who is is one of the oldest women to give birth, told local media it was a “miracle”. The hospital congratulated her, saying it is more than a “medical success; it’s about the strength and resilience of the human spirit”.
